Training will be provided so that the user is proficient in the use of the equipment supplied, and basic diagnostics.
Technical training will be provided so that maintainer can make an educated decision as to the state of the equipment and whether or not the equipment needs to be returned for repair or further diagnosis.
Spares holdings with be calculated using the Mean Time Before Failure and Mean Time To Repair figures, this calculation will conform to current best practice, local repair or OEM repair.
Repairs will either be conducted by the client, Layer 3 Services or the OEM
Layer 3 Services can offer configuration management. Equipment will be tracked by type and serial number, client and if required, location. This service ensures that the equipment fleet is monitored for hardware build standard, software version. Any changes made by the OEM will be reported to the client.
In addition, Layer 3 Services can produce a Master Record Index (MRI) if required.
